If you are afraid of turbulence in the crowd, this "personal space protector" is very appropriate for you, although the design may look funny, part of an entertaining creation. This is New York's artist Vivian Puxian latest creation. I didn't design a bubble - I designed a PROTECTOR / how I can sit down (many people ask me about it)

If you keep looking / reading my posts, you'll see I CAN hug people, be sociable, friendly (actually my Personal Space protector ATTRACTS people, and I always make new friends because of it!), etc.

Some people have the impression that I don't want to be touched or in contact with people.

I DIDN'T DESIGN A BUBBLE, I DESIGNED ONLY A PROTECTOR.

A bubble cuts off all interaction with others - not my case at all! A protector protects and lets me live my life as I'd live without it - but without certain problems.

My Personal Space PROTECTOR protects me only against the bad parts of human contact, like: being pushed, hit, stepped on, etc. Nobody I ever talked to likes these things.
My Personal Space protector also protects me against pickpockets, perverts, and it makes me make new friends, whom I can hug and do anything I'd do if I wasn't wearing it, so please don't judge before knowing or seeing how the object works and what it was made for. ** NOTE: I respect people, I believe we must respect others in order to be respected by them. I sit down in trains and buses when there's enough space for everybody there to sit down. If they're too crowded I don't mind standing up. Maybe I could sit down, applying what many call the "I got here first" rule, but I prefer to apply the polite rules of courtesy and the "I got here first but I respect YOUR personal space as I'd like you to respect mine. Please, have a seat!" rule.

Please notice that nobody got hurt, everybody laughs after the accident. Not even the bike was damaged, as Vivian designed her Personal Space Protector in a way it doesn't hurt anyone who bumps - or crashes - it.

How my Personal Space Protector can prevent the swine flu

Some people haven't yet connected the idea of having personal space to that of avoiding diseases.

Just in case you're one of them, or want to know more:

Ask your doctor or check medical websites.

KEEPING A SAFE DISTANCE FROM INFECTED INDIVIDUALS is the #1 measure to prevent infectious diseases from being spread! They say "Avoid contact with infected individuals" or so. The idea is: KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE from infected people (and you NEVER know who is infected) and stay safe. That's how my Personal Space Protector acts against diseases. You keep that safe distance.

The whole thing reminds me of when, in the Middle Ages, people didn't know that washing hands could save lives. Something so simple...!

Sometimes the smallest things are the ones that we're missing in order to have a better world. Of course I'd prefer to live in a planet where people could be polite and give each other personal space without having to wear something for that. Unfortunately, the world isn't like we all wish it were, and I, by myself, can't change it. Although, yes, I try to do my part!!

As I can't change people's behavior (which I also try), I at least came up with an object that can protect us.
